John Muir Trail
I hiked the 220-mile John Muir Trail for the first time in 2015. After swearing never to do it again, I did it again in 2016 – this time Joanna joined me for the first half! A JMT day consists of about eight to ten hours of hiking, most days going over (yet another!) mountain pass at 11,000 to 13,000 feet. I took almost all of these photos in early mornings and late evenings near camp, or sometimes at night when I was able to drag myself out of a warm sleeping bag. The photos are arranged in order along the trail from north to south, starting in Yosemite and ending at the top of Mt. Whitney.
